The family of the late former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, has announced that condolence visits will be accepted only on weekdays until further notice.

In a statement issued by the Office of former President Jerry John Rawlings, the family indicated that all visits must be arranged in advance by contacting 0276500008 to schedule a suitable date and time. It added that no weekend visits will be permitted.

The family also encouraged the public, friends, and institutions to send tributes via email to tributes@nanakonaduagyemanrawlings.org or to submit hard copies to the Office of the Former President at No. 1 Sekou Toure Link, Cantonments, Accra.

Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital after a short illness.

Born on November 17, 1948, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings was the founder of the 31st December Women’s Movement and a trailblazer for women’s empowerment, literacy, and economic inclusion.

As Ghana’s longest-serving First Lady, she contributed significantly to shaping national gender policies and later became an influential political figure, serving as a Vice Chairperson of the NDC before establishing the National Democratic Party (NDP).

She is survived by her four children: Zanetor, Yaa Asantewaa, Amina, and Kimathi Agyeman-Rawlings.
