The Member of Parliament for Ketu South pledged to work diligently to justify the trust placed in her. She outlined her vision to promote Ghana’s rich cultural heritage, boost tourism, and celebrate artistic expression.

A Widely Celebrated Appointment
On January 16, 2025, President Mahama officially appointed Dzifa Gomashie as Minister-designate for Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts, a move widely hailed by stakeholders in the creative industry.
Music producer Fred Kyei Mensah and actor and CEO of Image Bureau, George Quaye, had publicly endorsed her for the position, citing her deep industry knowledge and passion. Other notable personalities, including Baba Sadiq, were also mentioned in discussions leading up to the nomination.
A Seasoned Leader in the Creative Sector
Dzifa Gomashie is a veteran actress, accomplished politician, and creative arts expert with a distinguished career spanning advocacy, youth leadership, and cultural promotion.
With decades of experience in the creative industry, she previously served as Deputy Minister for Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts from 2013 to 2017, bringing a wealth of experience to her new role.
