The Black Stars have arrived in Luanda, Angola for their crucial 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying match on Friday, optimistic to secure a necessary win to keep their qualification hopes alive.

Ghana’s national team, under the guidance of Head Coach Otto Addo, held three intense training sessions in Accra before their departure on Wednesday.

With two points from four matches, the Black Stars are in third place in Group F, behind leaders Angola and second-placed Sudan.

Friday’s encounter at Estádio 11 de Novembro in Luanda is extremely important for Ghana, who have found it difficult to find form in their recent matches. A win would improve their standing as they aim to secure a place in the continental showpiece in 2025.

Angola, however, comes into the game with an impressive 100% record, sitting comfortably at the top of Group F with 12 points, ten points clear of Ghana.

The Black Stars are scheduled for a final training session at the Estádio 11 de Novembro on Thursday at 8 pm (local time), allowing the players to familiarise themselves with the match venue and conditions.

This high-stakes match will test Ghana’s strength as they seek to end Angola’s unbeaten run and rekindle their qualification chances.
