The Best Graduating Student of the Ghana School of Law, Latifa Teiya Fuseini, Esq., has shared the personal sacrifices and disciplined routines that paved her way to academic excellence.

Latifa revealed that her journey through law school was marked by intense schedules and limited social life.

“I wake up by 4 a.m., and school starts from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., twice a week but very intense,” she recounted. “I usually left home by 5 a.m. to beat traffic and sometimes stayed behind after lectures to study. The other days were for internships at law firms or courts, where we observed proceedings and continued studying afterward.”

When asked about her social life, Latifa admitted she had to forgo hangouts with friends and family to stay focused on her goals.

“You have to cut a bit of those things away when you have a goal you want to achieve,” she advised. “We only had three days off from school, but those days were still for studying. I had to cut back on my social life a bit.”

Despite her demanding schedule, she occasionally made time for small gatherings but stressed the importance of moderation and time management.

Latifa emphasized that discipline and consistency were crucial to her success. She encouraged students to cultivate effective study habits, especially group studies, which she credited as instrumental in navigating the rigorous law program.

Her story, she noted, is a reminder that achieving excellence often requires sacrifice, focus, and a clear sense of purpose.
