The duo were the first to be evicted since Big Brother gave back nomination powers to the housemates, after weeks of viewers deciding who would be up for eviction.
Speaking to live show host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu about the “rough week” which saw her spend a lot of time in bed, Chinwe said: “I bonded a lot with the pair that left previously, so seeing my friends leave was overwhelming. Coupled with the fact that I wasn’t feeling well, it was just like, ‘you know what? Whatever happens happens’.”
When asked about his BBNaija experience, Zion said: “I won’t say this was hard – it was a learning experience for me. Being with my girl in a confined space for that long taught me to be patient, resilient, and to pay attention to her a lot more.”
Zinwe were up against Beta (Ben and Tjay), Chekas (Chizoba and Onyeka), DoubleKay (Kellyrae and Kassia), and twins Wanni X Handi, who were also nominated for eviction.
Nine duos are still in the running for the incredible BBNaija Season 9 grand prize of GH¢100,000.
It was another eventful week – or, as Ebuka said in the opener: “chaos and more chaos,” descended on the house.
Nelita (Anita and Queen Nelly) reigned supreme yet again as the Heads of House, enjoying the now-restored perk of immunity that comes with the title after winning the HoH challenge. The two are no strangers to power – they were last week’s HoH and the winners of the now-scrapped Immunity Challenge.
But it wasn’t all sunshine, as Anita found herself in the middle of an age reveal drama with Topher, whom Ben accused of lying about his age. In the end, Anita is none the wiser as to whether Topher is really her age as he claims, or younger than her as Ben claims.
Both the Thursday night and Saturday night parties delivered on fun, but there was no shortage of drama either. Wanni and Handi got into a fight over their treatment of one another, while Fairme David was caught in the middle – much to Ocee’s annoyance.
Sooj and Nelly also had it out, with the latter upset that the former was dancing with other women in the house.
But if you thought the drama ended there, think again. During the live eviction show, Ebuka asked Sooj if Nelly knew that he had also smacked Onyeka’s behind – the answer to which was no. But Sooj quickly dismissed it by saying he and Onyeka were both intoxicated.
This week also saw the housemates win their wager, which was a multi-genre dance challenge. Let’s see how things pan out for them in the upcoming wager.
Ebuka had some final words of advice for the housemates: relax and have fun. “I’m sick of saying this. Enjoy yourselves. Enjoy the season. It goes away before you know it,” he said. And he is correct.
We look forward to another thrilling week in Biggie’s house.
