Politician and businessman Ned Nwoko has defended his practice of polygamy, stating that he “feels sorry” for men who choose to marry only one woman.

Nwoko, who is married to Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, argued that polygamy provides what he described as “balance and stability” for men. He made the remarks during an interview on Channels Television.

Explaining his stance, the billionaire compared marriage to balancing on multiple legs.

“Every man should do that. Imagine telling you to stand on one leg; it’s difficult. But if you stand on two, three, or four legs, you are more balanced. I feel sorry for those who have one wife because it is difficult to stand on one leg,” Nwoko said.

When asked about the biblical view on polygamy, Nwoko maintained that the practice was permitted in the Old Testament.

“The Old Testament does. I am a man of faith,” he responded.

The senator also dismissed suggestions that he might regret his marital choices.

“No, I have no regrets. I would do the same thing again. You should marry who you want to marry,” he said.

During the interview, he was also questioned about reports of a marital crisis with Regina Daniels, following posts she recently shared suggesting emotional distress. Nwoko denied allegations of domestic abuse.

“Come on, you know I’m not a violent person. I respect my wives. I love them and my kids,” he stated.

His comments came shortly after Regina Daniels showcased a new mansion on Instagram, fueling speculation about the state of their marriage.
