Accra, Ghana — October 8, 2025:
The National Service Scheme (NSS) has reopened its registration portal for the 2025/2026 service year, following a directive from President John Dramani Mahama to conduct a comprehensive technical and forensic audit of the previous Central Service Management Platform (CSMP).
Audit Uncovers Major Irregularities
The audit revealed significant irregularities and weaknesses in the old system, prompting the creation of a new, secure, and transparent digital platform designed to enhance data integrity, enable real-time verification, and improve accountability across the Scheme.
Old Registrations Declared Invalid
According to the National Service Secretariat, all registrations completed in June 2025 have been declared null and void due to data inconsistencies, including errors in applicants’ ages and personal details.
All prospective national service personnel are therefore required to re-register via the new system when the online portal opens on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. The registration window will close on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.
Refunds and Official Portal
The NSS assured applicants that all legitimate registrants will receive refunds of their service fees. The Secretariat emphasized that the official website for the new registration process is www.gnsa.gov.gh
Detailed guidelines for the registration process will be made available on the NSS website from Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
