A helicopter belonging to the Volta River Authority, with registration number 9G-AFW, made an emergency landing on Monday morning [August 11] at Nkawkaw in the Eastern Region due to bad weather.

The chopper was said to be travelling from Accra to Kumasi, when the pilot was forced to land after encountering poor visibility.

Sources say, the Jet A-1–powered helicopter made the emergency landing as a safety precaution.

All onboard, the pilot and crew, are safe, with no injuries reported.
