Popular dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, also known as Shatta Wale has rendered an unqualified apology to his former Manager, Lawrence Asiamah Hanson, aka Bullgod.

Along with the apology is a retraction of the allegations Shatta Wale made against Bullgod over the latter’s alleged involvement in the murder of artiste manager, Fennec Okyere.

Bullgod in November 2022 sued Shatta Wale, seeking damages for the alleged defamation and same for malicious publication of falsehood against him by the defendant.

The writ, among other things, demanded the artiste to render an unqualified retraction and unreserved apology for the comments which has been described as malicious and defamatory.

In a letter dated April 30, 2025, Shatta Wale issued an apology for his claims.

“On November 2, 2022, I published a series of posts on my social media pages and handles about MR. LAWRENCE NANA ASIAMAH HANSON alias BULLDOG. The publications included a statement that I have now come to know was generally misunderstood or misconstrued as MR. HANSON’S confessions to me that he had a hand in the murder of FENNEC OKYERE (alias FENICKS).
